Letter from a friend - Letter 1

Dear Friend,

Spring has begun here in the eastern hemisphere, bringing with it the charm of this lovely season. It's incredible to witness the perfection of the world that God has created for us, attentive in every detail.

Reflecting on beauty in general, I'm reminded of Fyodor Dostoevsky's words,

“Beauty will save the world”.

Beauty is incredibly important and necessary. I've mentioned in my previous posts once that "In the presence of beauty, our perspective reaches new heights." 
We need to actively seek beauty. We are surrounded by many beautiful things, and sometimes we don't even realize it! 
And you know, here's a little secret... the most precious and beautiful things are free!

You see...we can bring beauty in the everyday details of life too. 
It's those little moments when we take that extra second to transform a space into something warm and inviting that hold a special place in our hearts. 
It's more than just appearances; it's a genuine expression of love. We don't need a special occasion, famous guests, or extraordinary circumstances to turn our humble home into a warm and inviting place.

When we take the time, for example, to set a lovely dinner table, add a small arrangement, and do it with love, we're not just creating a beautiful scene; we're crafting memories, facilitating moments of connection, and sparking conversations that we will truly appreciate in the future when we look back.

At times, you might find yourself pondering, "Is all of this truly worth it? My children are so young. Is it worth the extra dish to clean?" 
I know, I understand you, because these questions always come up. 

We're all so busy, with countless things to resolve and tasks to complete. An extra minute to rest might seem like a precious time-saver. 
Life can be demanding, and it often requires effort and sacrifice.
But these little details...They matter more than you might realize. - it's not in vain, trust me! 
I'm not saying you need fancy things; I'm saying it requires care and attention because these details create unforgettable memories in your life and in your family's life.

Many things happen around the table, many conversations are shared there. 
It demands this care. Yes, it will be messy within 2 seconds, and we might have to clean the floor, perhaps even toss the tablecloth straight into the washing machine. But trust me, it's worth it!

Taking that extra moment to make a place look nice and cozy isn't just about aesthetics; it's a gesture of love, a way to make those dear to us feel cherished. 

In simple terms, I want you to know that beauty is all around us, even in the small things. As spring arrives, (maybe for you is autumn, and it has its own beauty too), remember to appreciate the beauty in your life, whether it's a lovely meal with loved ones or a moment of calm amidst your busy schedule. These little things matter more than we often realize.

And remember, material things exist for us to use them to enhance moments with others. Use beauty to strengthen bonds. People are worth more than things!
